I really thought my week was haunted! Email-wise at least!

There is the email that still hasn’t arrived after almost a month. God dammit!

Then the other one that I’ve been waiting for eagerly. But, as soon as I read it, I really wished it hadn’t arrived as it wasn’t at all what I was expecting. #sadface

And then there was my favourite. A mail from a colleague that was definitely and firmly planted somewhere in passive aggressive territory!

My response? I simply ignored the power play completely and replied in my normal charming manner.

As you can imagine, these unsatisfactory correspondences had left me feeling really despondent and borderline miserable. This is very uncharted ground for me as I’m naturally super optimistic and generally a pretty happy chappy most of the time.

But all my bad juju suddenly vanished into thin air when I received the last email.

Pause for dramatic reveal.

And…. Even more dramatic reveal!

I will be paid the princely sum of three whole Canadian Dollars!

Obviously, my first instinct was to resign from my job immediately to further pursue my writing career, however, in the spirit of benevolence, I decided to donate the payment back to the magazine.

Even in a forest full of haunted emails, negative feedback and passive aggressive nonsense, never give up hope or surrender to despair!

There is always something wonderful waiting for you just around the corner (or in an email in this case) !
